Imagine our world in the next 100 years makes the human condition in 2024 look like the human condition in 1024. I'm not saying evil and suffering cease to exist - arguably, they always will exist, no matter how negligible. But imagine we have eliminated carbon emissions. There is no crime. People no longer work to survive, but thrive. No more war. No poverty. No death from cardiovascular disease, or cancer, or dementia. No AI overtaking humanity - instead, harmony between civilization, technology, and nature. There is a part of us that doesn't want this future to happen. This part of us is addicted to the chaos, the pain, the darkness. Be aware of this part and let it go. Put it all in perspective. Think of how far we have come, how much progress we have made over the past 100,000 years - let alone the past 100 years. The only thing preventing such a future is not envisioning, wanting, and believing it. May that change for you now.
